What is Launch Jacking

Launch Jacking is basically finding a product or service that is about to be launched (or being launched, more later) that you can create a webpage or site for that captures the keywords that people search for, in order to capture all the free clicks of people searching for the new product.
When people land on your page you can either:
sell them something you have that matches their search needs
route them to the new product on an affiliate commision
Either way, you can make profit from a launch.

Why Launch Jacking works
As products are being introduced into the marketplace there is usually only a limited number of web pages talking about the product; and most of these probably just use the standard issued PR release blurb. After all, the publisher cannot have loads of pages all talking about the product, so they write and use just one.

Now put yourself in a member of the publics shoes (your target customer). They may have heard about this new product or service and may be looking for it. They will use the search engines to look for it, but they will use a range of terms to find it that may or may not be in the standard blurb. They may for example, look for ‘launch jacking for profit’ or ‘get rich by launch jacking’. If its completely new they may not even know the name of the product and type things like ‘link jacking’ instead.

So you simply craft a webpage which has the right content that the searcher is looking for and you will very quickly appear at the top of the search engines for this new product.
